I am very pleased to announce that Kay Oliver Photography will be visiting Beeston Bumps and Babies this Tuesday 4th December 2012.  Kay takes the time to get the best from your baby in her portable studio, all set up in our room!  Don't forget to bring your baby's favourite blanket or toy for that extra special shot!

Sticky Fingers will be visiting Beeston Bumps and Babies this coming Tuesday 13th November 2012.  Mandy and the team bring along a large ceramics for you to choose from and then help you put your baby's footprints onto the items.  They take everything away, personalise them to your requirements and then bring everything back 10 days later, in plenty of time for Christmas!

Closed for half term

Thanks to everyone who came along to Bumps & Babies yesterday.  We are now closed for Half Term and will be open again on Tuesday 12th June.

Some mums have been bringing in their unwanted baby & maternity items recently which have been successfully re-homed with other group members.  I thought we could develop this into a great service so if you are having a clear out over the Bank Holiday, keep hold of any items you no longer want and bring them along on the 12th.  Examples of things that have been donated over the last few months include packs of nappies, wipes, breast pads, bed mats and even clothing!  Any items that do not immediately find a new home can be stored in our storage cupboard.

Sticky Fingers next week!

Sticky Fingers will be visiting Bumps and Babies next week!  If you haven't seen them before, I will briefly explain what they do.

Mandy and her team bring along a range of ceramic items for you to choose from. They are reasonably priced and great quality. The range includes mugs, plant pots, tea pots, plaques, coasters..... and lots more! You then select your colour and they will put your baby's footprint onto your selected items. With younger babies it is harder to get a hand print as they tend to curl their little fingers up! You then tell the team what wording you would like and any decoration. They then take the items away, finish the decoration, glaze and fire them. The stuff is usually returned to me approx 2 weeks later and I will return them to you at Bumps and Babies.

We have organised this at short notice as we have realised that Fathers Day is coming up mid-June and we wanted to give you the opportunity to make some lovely gifts! Of course would also be suitable for grandmas, grandpas, aunties, uncles etc or just a treat for yourself! (Hattie made a fab plant pot last time with her hands and finger print ladybirds which is all mine!!)

Payment is cash, cheque or card.

Mandy takes up quite a bit of space in the room so we will borrow the next room down to park the buggies. If you don't want to make anything, never fear! The cake and biscuits will still be here!

Beeston Bumps & Babies breaks for Easter 27th March

A reminder that Beeston Bumps & Babies is only open during term time so our last session will be Tuesday 27th March. We are then closed for TWO weeks, opening again Tuesday 17th April.

Those of you who have been before will have no doubt met my daughter Hattie. She is coming of age (gulp!) and the 27th will be her last session as she will be attending pre-school every morning after the Easter hols. To celebrate we will be bringing extra cakes in (chocolate at her request!) and we would love you to share in this special session with us. Even if you have moved on from Bumps & Babies, we would love you to pop in to say hello if you are around.
